What changed, and why

The job board used to sit behind a permission only an employer has, so the people it was built for couldn't open it. Freelancers now sign in to their own board, applications, jobs, calendar, invoices and profile — free, and separate from any company that books them.

Prep, Load and Return were three menu items. A job at a given stage has exactly one thing that can be done to it, so picking the stage only told the screen what the job already knew — and got it wrong whenever the job had moved on. Now the job decides the screen.

The menu and the page it opened gave the screen two different names. This is the one the yard uses. Old links still work.

What is free is a question asked before a job exists, not a fact about the catalogue — it was filed under the shelves it counts rather than where it gets used. Stocktake went the other way, to Warehouse, with the stock it counts.

Expenses and overtime are ungated. Everybody who works here can be out of pocket or work past the call, and each person sees exactly what they're entitled to — which for most people is their own claims and nothing else. Approvals moved to Company and now reaches team leaders, not only admins.

The calendar answers your question first — your days at every company, plus the shows Compass has never heard of — with the company's month a tick away. “My jobs” stopped being a second menu entry for the same screen.

Earnings and the asset register both listed the same gear as the catalogue with money columns beside it. The columns moved onto the gear list; what survives under Finance is the register of things that aren't hire stock — the van, the shelving.
